Why do Christians love the Bible so much?

Purpose

The apostle Paul reminds us that everything in the Bible was written with a purpose—

to teach us that:

•     through our trials and

•     the encouragement of God’s Word

•     we might have hope.

Life is tough, after all.

We get discouraged and, at times, disheartened

to the point of such despair that it’s hard to recover.

Romans 15:1–4
1 We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves.
2 Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification.
3 For even Christ pleased not himself; but, as it is written, The reproaches of them that reproached thee fell on me.
4 For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.

Power to Overcome Despair

Yet the Word of God ignites the power of a positive, godly fire within.

Reading all of God’s Word is paramount.

It is the source of

1. Hope,

2.   Peace,

3.   Encouragement,

4.   Salvation,

5.   and so much more.

It moves people to take action

•     while diminishing depression and discouragement.
