A Mothers Love

Then came to him the mother of Zebedee’s children with her sons, worshipping him, and desiring a certain thing of him.
And he said unto her, What wilt thou? She saith unto him, Grant that these my two sons may sit, the one on thy right hand, and the other on the left, in thy kingdom.
But Jesus answered and said, Ye know not what ye ask. Are ye able to drink of the cup that I shall
drink of, and to be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with? They say unto him, We are able.

And he saith unto them, Ye shall drink indeed of my cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with: but to sit on my right hand, and on my left, is not mine to give, but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared of my Father.

                                                   – Matthew 20:20-23

In this Podcast:

We will look at the Three things that every Mother can learn from the mother of James and John Zebedee:

  • She wanted her children to be part of the Kingdom of God
  • She wanted her children to be actively involved in the work of the Lord
  • She had big expections for her children

What are Mothers?

Where is the good way?

Shew me thy ways, O LORD; teach me thy paths.
Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.

Psalm 25:4-5

Have you ever attempted to give someone driving directions?  Especially someone who is “directionally challenged”?  GPS technology has come a long way, but so many people rely completely on these things.

In this podcast we are going to see how to find the right path:

Houston, We have a problem!

The title of this podcast is taken from the popular, but incorrect quote from a phrase spoken by Astronaut Jack Swigert during the failed Appolo 13 mission. He actually said, “OK, Houston, we’ve had a problem.”  This phrase has become popular to describe an unforeseen problem.  We’ve all had our share of problems, some due to our bad decisions while others by no fault of our own.

In this Podcast:

we will look at the Four common responses to solve a problem:

  • Throw money at it
  • Turn to other people
  • Take it away
  • Turn to Jesus

We will see that these are the four responses that the Disciples had when confronted with the problem of feeding over 5000 people, which they had not planned to do.
